Top National Day Experiences In Abu Dhabi

Mark UAE National Day with one of the best seats in the house at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. With rooms overlooking the magnificent Corniche, guests have prime viewing for the 2 December fireworks’ display. Choose a deluxe room with bed and breakfast or go for full board for a special staycation.

For UAE 50 cuisine, Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is offering up 50 flavours of dates – one flavour for every year of the UAE – as well as seven chocolate fountains consisting of milk, white, dark, strawberry, orange, pistachio and Arabic coffee as well as an ice-cream giveaway in the UAE flag’s colours on 2 December.

Continuing the 50 theme is the Valrhona chocolate carving of the golden number. The hotel’s executive pastry chef Sumeda Palihakkara will lead a one-and-a-half-hour session daily from 5pm to 6.30pm for seven days. Starting on 26 November, watch a 210kg Valrhona Chocolate cake be carved with the ‘number 50’ layered in gold.

Next up is the Up in the Air Afternoon Tea. Awe-inspiring acrobatics meets delicious cakes and tea at this extravaganza extraordinaire. Watch as performers dangle from helium balloons and perform elegant dance routines while you sip on tea every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 8 December.

But that is not all from the luxe five-star hotel.

Father of the Nation, His Highness, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nayhan will have a portrait painted with guests also invited to participate in the hotel’s very own wall of tolerance.
