Chosen as the Official Celebrity Host Hotel for the awards celebrating the biggest names in Bollywood, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island will offer you a chance to rub shoulders with legendary stars of the Indian big screen Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, and more at the funky five-star hotel on Yas Island.
And to mark the mega-occasion taking place at Etihad Arena on 3 and 4 June, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island has teamed up with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral for a fantastic series of six events for you and all the other cool cats of the capital to enjoy over the week.
Up first from 30 May to 5 June, the uber stylish Garage will be receiving a sprinkling of sub-continental flavour as Michelin star Chef Vineet Bhatia takes over the cooking duties with a specially curated à la carte menu. The first chef to be awarded the coveted culinary award for Indian cuisine, Chef Vineet will be tantalising your tastebuds with tempting plates with creative twists every day of the week from 12.30pm to 10.30pm.
Chef Vineet will also be in place for the B.I.G’est brunch in town at Garage alongside favourite live cooking stations of Salmon Sashimi American Way from Nikkei and more from 1pm to 4pm. Saturday’s biggest party sees prices start from AED 279 but if you truly way to go B.I.G. house beverage and bubbly packages are AED 379 and AED 529 respectively.
For those looking for dishes that marry traditional takes with modern stylings, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island’s Indian restaurant Angar will host a special get-together of Dubai’s finest culinary experts of Indian fare at The Crossing. A celebration of lost cuisines and ingredients, marvel and savour plates that have been transformed into modern neo dishes that showcase recipes from Rajput kitchens to hidden gems in North East India from 30 May to 4 June.
Fancy dancing underneath the stars? WET Deck is known for its cool tunes, tasty bites and marvellous mixed drinks and the venue atop the stylish hotel is pulling out all the stops for a superb time during the IIFA. Beginning the festivities on 2 June, IIFA’s finest DJs Sumit Sethi and the award-winning DJ Aqeel will bring Glitz and Glam to WET Deck, as you move your body underneath the iconic Grid Shell from 9pm onwards.
Filling the air of The W Lounge on the same evening with Bollywood beats, DJ Clement will be setting the tone for a great night out where you can party from 9pm to 3am for AED 200 that also includes two house beverages.
But the fun at The W Lounge does not stop there, as DJ Sumit Sethi and DJ Aqeel continue the feelgood vibes on 3 June with CINEMATIC. Dance the first night of the IIFA away from 9pm to 3am. Prices start from AED 200 but if you and friends are feeling really flash, treat yourself to a VIP table from AED 4,000 (minimum spend).
The following evening, DJ Clement and Darko De Jan will be spinning the tunes at Starry Night from 9pm, with 4 June seeing WET Deck being the official after bash of the IIFA.
