A wide range of community events return to Abu Dhabi’s favourite community destination
Umm Al Emarat Park kicks off a new season with community and family-friendly events and activities to suit everyone. In its three years since its reopening, the park has welcomed over 2 million visitors and has been a significant home to several key community and cultural events in Abu Dhabi.
This season, Umm Al Emarat Park will host a diverse array of public events that will engage youth and families with season favourites. The family staple outdoor movie screenings in the Children’s Garden returns every weekend in October with a selection of classic and popular cartoons for the little ones.
What's On at Umm Al Emarat Park
Abu Dhabi’s biggest outdoor market and community favourite, the Ripe Market, returns to Umm Al Emarat Park every Saturday from October 20, 3pm – 9pm. With over 100 vendors throughout the season, including organic fruit and vegetables, exciting new food concepts, local artisanal products, live entertainment, arts and crafts workshops for all ages and free fitness classes, the unique variety of activities offers the community a large selection for things to do on their weekend outdoors.
Umm Al Emarat Park welcomes back major public events including The Mini Dash on November 17, a family fitness event which gives children the opportunity to try a wide variety of sports and enjoy a friendly fun run.
Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 will host the free and inclusive community walk, Walk Unified, from November to March in the park with a range of activities happening at each monthly edition.
Walk Unified brings together people of determination, their families, and the community at large to celebrate inclusion.
ACTVET’s Health and Fitness Fun Festival comes back to Umm Al Emarat Park with its action-packed activities in February 2019. Fitness enthusiasts who wish to walk or run outdoors in groups can mark their calendars for the popular and free community walk/run iTrainSaturdays presented by Daman Insurance, every Saturday from October 27.
Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) will display the award-winning interactive pavilion of The Christo & Jeanne-Claude Award in December, in addition to ‘Festival in the Park’ at the end of February, a line-up of performances and activities which is part of the Abu Dhabi Festival.

Umm Al Emarat Park celebrates its fourth season of events promising a variety of experiences for visitors of all ages.
Since its public reopening and redevelopment, Umm Al Emarat Park has hosted over 150 public events, related to arts and culture, music, fitness, food, community, and charity, opening its door to scores of people, in addition to offering several educational packages for schools in Abu Dhabi.
