Al Forsan Nursery New Kids On The Block

Aldar Academies, the leading private education provider in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, has revealed more details on its first dedicated nursery, Al Forsan Nursery, which is due to open in September 2018. The new place of learning will be located on the site of the prestigious Al Forsan International Sports Resort, and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for up to 200 children aged two to four years.

The curriculum will be the same as that taught at the education provider’s current English National Curriculum FS1 schools, extending Aldar Academies’ outstanding education to more families in Abu Dhabi.

Lessons will be taught primarily through games and play to fully engage students and maximise learning outcomes, while providing a holistic education that nurtures both the mind and body. The entire teaching staff employed at Al Forsan Nursery will hold degrees and qualifications related to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, and lead students in the key areas of learning:

  • Communication and language development
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding of the world
  • Expressive arts and design

Aldar Academies will invest a total of five milion Dirhams into Al Forsan Nursery to create a premium, future-focused learning environment. Digital learning aids will build students’ technology skills gradually, while the building will be divided up to house group and individual spaces for creative arts, as well as outdoor play equipment for physical development. Meanwhile, students also have access to the facilities within Al Forsan International Sports Resort itself, which include an equestrian centre, swimming pools, and sports courts.

“Aldar Academies Al Forsan Nursery will be nothing less than exceptional when the doors open soon,” Nilay Özral, CEO of Aldar Academies

“The community has come to expect this from Aldar Academies, and that’s precisely what we’ll provide as our outstanding educators nurture the next generation of leaders. This is the next huge step in our commitment to helping the UAE realise its Vision 2030 plan,” commented Nilay Özral, CEO of Aldar Academies.

By enrolling with Aldar Academies Al Forsan Nursery, students have the opportunity to stay within Aldar Academies’ community right through the post-16 years up to university. As an incentive, children who attend the nursery will also be given priority when applying to enter any Aldar Academies school; FS2 at Al Muna Academy, Al Mamoura Academy, The Pearl Academy or Al Yasmina Academy, or KG1 at West Yas Academy, as per parents’ preferred curriculum.

“The goal for early years educators is to create an open, encouraging, and social learning environment where children are free to learn through exploration and problem solving,” commented Ms Susan Carpenter, Aldar Academies Al Forsan Nursery’s Early Years and Foundation Stage Principal. “We’ve created that environment here at Al Forsan Nursery by replicating the same outstanding teaching model found across the rest of our community.” She added.
