A day of adventure & family fun!
The third annual Kite Festival returns to Sir Bani Yas Island on Friday, 2 March 2018. Promising a day filled with adventure and lots of family fun, Anantara is aiming to colour the sky of Desert Islands Resort & Spa’s beach more than ever before!
Spend quality time together as a family
Commencing at at 11am, the Kite Festival is all about getting creative as a family and spending quality time together. Make your own kite and watch it fly from the pristine beaches of the island. It isn’t mandatory to fly a kite (or make one!), and there’s plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained if you don’t, including a free BBQ, beach games, kayaking, pony rides, archery, and music.
If you do want to get creative and have a go at making your own kite, kite kits are available free of charge, and there will be prizes for the ‘Most Creative Kite’, ‘Largest Kite’ and ’Best Animal-Shaped Kite’, with a panel of judges on board to select the most striking features.
“We are excited to once again make Sir Bani Yas Island home to an event for families with kids. With over 200 attendees to both Kite Fest 2016 and 2017, we are expecting to see many familiar faces, but also new visitors to the island this year. Having enhanced the event’s programme with more beach activities, I am sure that Kite Fest 2018 will be yet another success,” comments Anantara’s Area General Manager, Wael Soueid
