This New Year’s Eve, Abu Dhabi will welcome 2019 with world’s largest sentence made of fireworks as UAE once again bids for another Guinness World Record. The impressive 10-minute pyrotechnics show at the Corniche will aim to spell out ‘Happy New Year 2019’ and will reach a height of 40 metres, using an array of colours and configurations.

Al Maryah Island is inviting residents and visitors to usher in 2019 with a star-studded music spectacular, the biggest celebration in the capital this New Year’s Eve. Visitors are welcome to the Island to celebrate with award-winning singer and ‘Father of Mediterranean Music’, Amr Diab and “Queen of Stage”, Myriam Fares as they perform live in on the waterfront Promenade at Al Maryah Island, the capital’s business and lifestyle destination.
Doors open from 5:00pm; the celebrations will take place from 7pm – 1am and are free to attend. Entry to the main concert area is on first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 1,500 visitors. Other guests will have access to the other areas of the Promenade to view the concert from the screens available on the waterfront.
The electrifying evening will culminate in a thrilling midnight countdown followed by a spectacular fireworks show.
