The soon to launch W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island revealed its newly appointed Executive Team, bringing together some of the region’s top hospitality leaders to launch the highly anticipated lux rebel brand into the Emirate.
Faiek El Saadani General Manager, will lead the dynamic team through the brand conversion, a first for the W brand globally. Faiek is joined by Nabiel El-Nakib Executive Assistant Manager of B&F, Jeannette Smit Director of Sales & Marketing, Maren Fernandes Director of Human Resources, Niazy Mohamed Youseff Director of Rooms, Majdy Khoury Cluster Director of Finance, Ayman Alhalalat Director of Engineering, Phoebe Hanson Directory of Culinary and Essa Al Ansari the W Insider.
Faiek El Saadani comes to W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island with a wealth of international hospitality expertise and knowledge, having previously worked across multiple Marriott brands including St. Regis and JW Marriott. Faiek will be instrumental in repositioning the iconic Abu Dhabi hotel and establishing the luxury brand in the market. His charismatic and enthusiastic character and love of a high energy work place will ensure the team delivers on the brand Whatever/Whenever philosophy, creating epic moments for all guests. Under Faiek’s leadership the hotel will be transformed and is set to steal the scene in the UAE capital.
Nabiel El-Nakib, Executive Assistant Manager of Beverage & Food will define W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island’s beverage and culinary philosophy, working alongside his team to create innovative beverage and food concepts that would resonate with the UAE consumer. Having worked for some of the most renowned names in the industry such as David Myers and Heston Blumenthal, Nabiel will ensure a seamless yet vibrant transformation of the Yas Hotel to the W Brand with eclectic programming.
Jeannette Smit, Director of Sales & Marketing hails from the Netherlands and has worked with some of the world’s leading hotel chains globally. Her experience and understanding of sales and marketing strategies has enabled her to roll out the successful launch of Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai and establish W Doha Hotel & Residences as the leading hotel in Doha. Jeannette will be an invaluable asset to the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island during its launch phase and through her dynamic leadership will help position the hotel as the most hip and happening destination on the island.
Essa Al Ansari; will be the W Insider connecting ideas, events, people and guests by being always in-the-know. With a finger on the pulse on the latest happenings within the UAE, he will be the tastemaker who keeps a close watch on what’s new and next, finding ways to elevate the guest experience.
