The Festive Season is truly underway across the United Arab Emirates, and families are now looking at how they’ll spend the time. In a study[1] from the Family Holiday Association, a charity in the UK that helps struggling families have a break, it was found that over half of the 2,000 adults surveyed agreed that family holidays had given them happy memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives, and just under a quarter referred to these happy memories during difficult moments.
Further to the initial results on the memories, the study also demonstrated that these experiences have lasting effects on family members’ in their daily lives, from better behavior at school and at home to greater optimism and ambition for their future. The pinnacle event of the Carnival will be spectacular fireworks display at the stroke of midnight, marking the New Year. Over at the du Arena, fans will see ‘Fireworks’ of their own as legendary pop star Katy Perry will be singing out the old year and welcoming in new vibes for 2018. With thrilling singles “Roar,” “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Dark Horse”, Perry is known around the world for her spectacular live performances, and the New Year’s Eve concert is set to be no different. The Winterland Carnival is free to attend and open to all ages, running from Wednesday, 27 – Sunday, 31 December 2017 from 2pm to 10pm, each day. On the final day of the Carnival, doors will stay open until 12.30am, with a fireworks display at the stroke of midnight to ring in the New Year.
