Walk 2017

Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, with the support of Health Authority Abu Dhabi and Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare facilities, Healthpoint and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, invites the UAE to walk together for the nation’s leading annual walkathon.

The Abu Dhabi Science Festival runs until November 18 in two fantastic locations; Khalifa Park and Al Ain Zoo. The Abu Dhabi Striders Half Marathon and 10K
Yas Waterworld

The 2017 Striders Half Marathon and 10K features a fast mostly flat picturesque IAAF measured course around the iconic Yas Island key landmarks. The Half Marathon starts and finishes at Yas Waterworld. The runners run out and towards the Yas Plaza, then onto Yas Marina, before turning and heading back past Ferrari World onto the Yas Mall VIP Ramp and out into the greater environs of Gateway park before turning and making there way back to Yas Waterworld.
The 10K run start and finishes at Yas Waterworld and starts at 6:45am. Runners will head to the Marina Area and back.

Join Cycle for Health UAE is held on the last Saturday of every month until next May. The first Cycle for Health UAE session will be all about “Love Your Heart” for World Heart Day.
Cycling is a fun and healthy way to get the whole family involved in exercise to reduce the risk of chronic illnesses, such as cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is the leading cause of death in the UAE. And here’s your chance to do your bit for World Heart Day and pledge to ‘Love Your Heart’ by pedaling your way to heart health.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will be hosting health screenings, exercise information sessions and healthy heart cooking demonstrations, while other fun activities include a learn-to-ride program, bouncy castles, and a healthy food truck. And don’t worry if you don’t have a bike; Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will also be providing complimentary bikes and helmets for participants – but you’ll have to register first.
The event is presented by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Health Authority – Abu Dhabi in partnership with Healthpoint and Imperial College London Diabetes Center.

The Smurfs Live on Stage

Eight favorite Smurfs characters including Papa Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, Brainy Smurf and the adorable Smurfette are coming to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi for the first time ever to transform the Wintery breeze in town into a colorful Spring. The evil wizard Gargamel and the puppeteers will accompany the tiny blue creatures in this ‘Smurftastic’ journey.
Little fans, mum and dad and the grandparents alike can get ready to cheer the Smurfs as they come to life on a grand stage, which brings the books to life with life size Smurf mushroom-shaped forest houses, vibrant backdrops and wonderful sing-along music.
