This December, Yas Marina is transforming the marina into a dazzling festive winter wonderland and will welcome the festive season with two weekends packed with magical events for the whole family to enjoy!
For the whole month, from December 8 until January 2, visitors to Yas Marina will discover and incredible winter wonderland, with artificial snow, a beautifully decorated tree, garlands and glittering lights alongside the promenade.
TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9, from 2pm to 6pm
This event is free to attend.
The magic officially begins with the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 8 and 9, which takes place from 2pm until 6pm each day. At the start of the afternoon, kids of all ages can take part in reindeer games, festive craft making, wish list writing and carol singing. Santa will arrive at 4pm to spread festive cheer and take pictures under the tree.
Just when the sun is about to set, Santa will gather the children under the tree to read an enchanting story. To end the magical evening, Santa will light the festive tree, adding sparkle to the marina.
WINTER MARKET with REAL SNOW GAMESAND MORE!

On December 15 and 16, visitors to the marina can enjoy even more attractions and activities as the highly anticipated Winter Market returns, featuring a REAL Snow Park, a winter themed market, and lots of fun festivities.
Looking for some special and unique gifts? Then look no further than this winter market which will be packed with fabulous festive treats and treasures at 40 stalls.
Run by local passionate SME businesses including the best foodies, artisans, designers and jewellers, in town. After you are finished shopping, drop your gift items off at the gift-wrapping station and take a well-deserved break with a festive treat or drink.
Dreaming of a white holiday season? Step into our REAL SNOW PARK for an action-packed snow ball fight and snowman building out of REAL SNOW!
Those up for a REAL snow battle can join in the fun. The rules are simple: two teams of seven people will battle to capture the opponent’s flag without getting hit by snowballs.
Only a Yas Marina can kids get into the festive spirit by building a mini snowman from real snow while still enjoying the great winter weather outdoors.
Entry costs AED30 per person and includes one snowball fight and one snowman building session.
There’s plenty of chances to meet the jolly man himself throughout the Winter Market weekend too. Santa will arrive by boat each day from 3pm to 7pm, stopping at the marina to take pictures and spreading festive cheer with kids under the tree.
Elf Boat Rides on the marina’s sparkling waters will be hosted by Captain Tony’s, and priced at AED25 per person from 2pm to 9pm on both days.
The ‘Let it Snow’ festivities play an integral part of the Yas Winterland Festival, a month-long island-wide celebration that comprise cool, joyous, family friendly events and many more activations and offers.
