The 17 November 2021 sees the beginning of one of Abu Dhabi’s most important celebrations of arts and culture – The Abu Dhabi Art Fair.
Now in it is 13th season, the fair will see aesthetes gather in the capital to explore some of the finest pieces of work from local, regional and international artists.

What is happening in Abu Dhabi?
The Abu Dhabi Art Fair will be taking place on Manarat Al Saadiyat from 17 to 21 November 2021 and will be open from 1pm to 9pm.
What is the Abu Dhabi Art Fair?
The Abu Dhabi Art Fair 2021 brings together 50 local, regional and international galleries. Artworks from 19 countries will be showcased by 14 new galleries and 36 returning galleries. Director of Abu Dhabi Art Dyala Nusseibeh said the standard will be exceptional again this year. She said: “After a year of forced hiatus, it comes as no surprise that participating galleries have brought together exceptional presentations in their booths, which range from solo shows that reposition Modern art masters from the region to young galleries who are bold enough to show exciting emerging artists.”
What galleries will be showcased at Abu Dhabi Art Fair?
The 50 galleries will be separated into three sections; Kind of Blue; The Modern & Contemporary Section; and the Special Projects section.
What to expect at the Kind of Blue exhibition?
The Kind of Blue will explore the varied perspectives of artists working through the language of jazz. Four participating galleries will be showcased; Afriart Gallery (Kampala, Uganda), representing Richard Atugonza and Charlene Komuntale; Galerie MAM (Douala, Cameroon), representing Bili Bidjocka and Joël Yonkeu; Primo Marella Gallery (Milan, Italy), representing Abdoulaye Konaté; and Sabrina Amrani (Madrid, Spain), representing Nicène Kossentini and Joël Andrianomearisoa.
What to expect at The Modern & Contemporary exhibition?
There will be 26 participating galleries in The Modern & Contemporary section at The Abu Dhabi Art Fair. There will be 22 galleries presenting curated booths by one, two or three artists as part of the fair’s Special Projects sector. What else is going on at The Abu Dhabi Art Fair 2021?
The Abu Dhabi Art Fair 2021 will also host its annual public Performing Arts Programme. Curated by Rose Lejeune, four commissioned artists will demonstrate their talents; Louise Hervé & Clovis Maillet, Mays Albaik, Rand Abdul Jabbar and Super Taus.

Those who are looking to attend The Abu Dhabi Art Fair can purchase tickets on online at The Abu Dhabi Art Fair. Ticket prices start from AED 55 for adults and free for children, students, People of Determination and senior citizens. Valid ID is needed for complimentary tickets.
Do we need Al Hosn app pass to attend?
Anyone over the age of 16 looking to attend a must show a green pass on their Al Hosn app as well as a negative PCR test result taken in the last 96 hours. Face masks are mandatory for everyone.
