Team Yalla says head to Beach Rotana where you’re guaranteed several fabulous restaurants serving mouthwatering dishes and surrendering some of the best views in Abu Dhabi.
The Garden by Bay View is one such restaurant. Seating and tables are set up on the grassy banks of the bay, with splendid views of Al Maryah Island across the water.
Unsurprisingly the place is extremely busy (so booking is recommended) and the dishes a delight, using the freshest ingredients from grass-fed beef and free-range chicken to local line fish and harvested vegetables from Al Ain.
The menu dishes up small bites and garden salads such as lobster soft shell tacos, spinach and haloumi croquettes, all-grilled salad and watermelon and zaatar salad.
Grass-fed Angus burger, free-range spit-roasted half chicken, Arabian Gulf chili-garlic prawns and antabli kebab are some of the charred mains found on the menu.
Team Yalla highly recommends the free-range barbequed duck, which had been beautifully slowed cooked and the tender meat falls of the bone.
Sourced locally from the market, the catch of the day, red snapper, was moist and retained a superb flavor, you could taste the freshness of the sea and the dish surrendered a delicate chilli and garlic rub.
To end, the amazing selection of exotic fruits atop of crushed ice – fresh fruit on the rocks – looked too good to eat, not to mention the homemade “Magnum” vanilla ice cream served in the form of an ice-lolly on a stick.
