Abu Dhabi updates entry requirements into public spaces

Grace period for Sinopharm vaccinated expired last Monday.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated its entry requirements into public places.

Effective today (31 October), members of the public will need a green status on their Al Hosn app and a negative PCR test result within 96 hours prior to entry of a business, entertainment or sporting event – an increase of 48 hours from the previous requirement.

All members of the public must continue to wear masks when attending events or public spaces.

The Al Hosn green pass requirement for public spaces came into effect on 19 September 2021.

To obtain a green pass, you must be full vaccinated against Covid-19 and must conduct a negative PCR test every 30 days.

Those who were jabbed with the Sinopharm vaccine more than six months ago must receive at least one booster shot to maintain their green status.

Announced last month, those with the Sinopharm vaccine were given a 30-day grace period from 20 September to obtain their booster in order to prevent their status turning to grey.

That deadline expired last week.

Those who do not have a green pass status on their Al Hosn app will be denied access to public spaces.
