Booster dose needed for Al Hosn app green status

The green status is needed for entry in Abu Dhabi’s public premises.

All residents of the UAE must receive a COVID-19 booster shot in order to maintain their green status on their Al Hosn app it has been announced.

Revealed today (17 January) on its social media channels, Al Hosn app stated that all booster doses are available for all types of vaccinations including Pfizer-BioNtech and Sputnik V and that members of the public must receive their jab if it has been six months since their second dose in order for their status on the app not to turn grey.

The post, however, did not confirm how long residents had to obtain their booster dose before it turned grey.

Currently in Abu Dhabi you need to undergo a negative PCR test every 14 days in order to maintain your green status which allows you to enter business premises, shopping centres and bars.

A green status is also needed for any resident of the UAE entering the emirate of Abu Dhabi by land.

From 20 August 2021, those with two doses of Sinopharm vaccine had to receive a booster shot in order to maintain their green status on their app.
