First big name announced for Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi

Game of Thrones and Fast & Furious fans will be thrilled.

The Middle East Film & Comic Con has announced its first celebrity guest and for fans of Game of Thrones and Fast & Furious it will be a familiar face.

Nathalie Emmanuel will be present to meet and greet fans at the mega event set to be held in Abu Dhabi in March 2022.

The Southend UK actress will be joined by the great and the good of silver screen at the three-day event organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT) which will see VIP meet-and-greets, talks, interviews and other thrilling event activations.

Currently Emmanuel is the only A-list attendee confirmed, however, cinephiles are told to expect some major names to announced with the likes of Jason Momoa, Zachary Levi, Benedict Wong, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ezra Miller, Iwan Rheon, Tara Strong, Seth Green, Gillian Anderson and William Shatner flown in for the event in the past.

Event director Michael Lamprecht said: “We are honoured to be welcoming back Marvel, and to host Nathalie Emmanuel as the first of what will be a host of globally renowned celebrities at this year’s edition of the event.

“This level of attendance seen right off the bat, signifies the growth of the event and its popularity as we look ahead to 2022.”

The convention which was held in Dubai last year, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary of connecting fans with their favourite pop culture icons, local and international artists and showcasing cosplay parades and entertainment acts from Anime bands to alternative rock groups.

Those wishing to attend can get their hands on tickets at Middle East Film & Comic Con which will be released later in the year.
