Two Pfizer doses? Here is where you can get your booster in Abu Dhabi

Team Yalla was one of the first in line.

Did you receive your second shot of Pfizer-BioNtech more than six months and are now looking for your booster jab in Abu Dhabi?

Well one Abu Dhabi hospital has started offering a third booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone who received their second dose of Pfizer-BioNtech or Sputnik V more than six moths ago.

Cleveland Clinic on Al Maryah Island began taking appointments on Saturday and booking an appointment can be done with simply a few clicks on your phone.

Log onto the Cleveland Clinic app and select ‘book an appointment’ where you will be asked to answer a few questions relating to your vaccination status.

These questions will include if you have been vaccinated twice with Pfizer-BioNtech or Sputnik V in the last six months; your age range; whether you have tested positive for COVID-19 or recovered from the disease.

Once you have submitted your answers the app will determine if you are eligible for an appointment or not.

Team Yalla got their third booster dose on Saturday at Cleveland Clinic after the UAE Government urged members of the public not to delay receiving their booster dose after the discovery of the Omicron variant in southern Africa.

Our vaccination status was updated on the Al Hosn app within a few hours.

At the time or writing, 100 per cent of the UAE population has received at least one COVID-19 vaccine with more than 91 per cent being fully vaccinated.

Just under 105 million COVID-19 PCR tests have been conducted with only 2,776 cases still active in the country.
