The Abu Dhabi Book Fair is back this weekend so stock up on the hottest summer reads while they’re hot off the presses.
Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) returns this weekend at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and runs from 24 – 30 April. Bookworms and industry professionals alike from around the emirate, the region, and world are expected to descend upon the capital in search of a good read, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for publishing.
This year’s star-studded line-up of internationally renowned authors, artists and performers, including Booker Prize-winner Ben Okri, author Saroo Brierley – whose memoir was adapted into the feature film Lion – and Ziauddin Yousafzai, the father of Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai.
New to ADIBF this year are three new interactive zones: the E-Zone, Comic Corner, and the Entertainment Zone. Each zone will feature unique experiences for learning, innovation and entertainment. To highlight the importance of technology and innovation, the E-Zone will be a place of discovery for the latest trends in digital content creation, featuring live demonstrations from experts as well as activities related to digital publishing. The Comic Corner will showcase an interactive Aquaman-themed experience, while the Entertainment Zone will feature food and music from different cultures around the world.
