The test results need to be in the previous 72 hours before arriving in the UK.
If you are departing from the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, to the UK, you will need to have a negative test, according to news outlets across the UK.
According to the Sky News website, the move has been put in place “in a bid to bring spiralling cases under control.”
The news outlet said that the UK’s Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced on 8 January that passengers arriving by plane, ferry and train will need to provide a negative test result from the previous 72 hours if they are to be let in.
The new rulings brings the UK in line we many countries around the world, including here in the UAE.
