Filming and sharing footage may result in prison term.

Fines For Crowding Around Car Accidents In Abu Dhabi - Yalla Abu Dhabi

Anyone found to be swarming an accident scene will be liable to pay a AED 1,000 fine authorities have cautioned.

The fresh reminder issued by Abu Dhabi Police on its social media channels warned members of the public that filming and disseminating the footage would also invite a prison term and fine.

The warning comes as the police force shared a video that shows motorists and passers-by congregating around two cars involved in a collision.

The video shows members of the public parking their vehicles in locations that blocked traffic in order to record the incident.

The penalties are to deter the public from acting in such fashion in order to allow emergency services to carry out their duties.
