The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka just rolled out the red carpet for its two millionth visitor, turning the day into a vibrant celebration full of colour, culture, and creativity.

To mark this incredible milestone, the Pavilion threw a joyful bash inspired by Japan’s enchanting Tanabata Festival, a cherished tradition where people write their wishes on colorful paper strips and hang them on bamboo trees, hoping the stars will carry them skyward.

But in true UAE style, there was a unique twist; instead of bamboo, guests hung their wishes on palm fronds, a nod to the UAE’s iconic date palm.

The result? A beautiful forest of dreams right outside the Pavilion, filled with hopes for a brighter, kinder future.

Visitors got to join in the fun by penning their dreams on custom-made Tanzaku cards, adding their voices to a growing chorus of global wishes.

The forecourt bloomed into a colorful tapestry of heartfelt messages, making it one of the most Instagrammable spots at the Expo!

The UAE Pavilion, themed ‘Earth to Ether,’ is all about mixing tradition with tomorrow. Spread across five exciting zones, it’s a full-on sensory journey through the UAE’s past, present, and bold future; with a whole lot of innovation and hospitality along the way.

From its stunning architecture to the warm welcomes and powerful stories inside, visitors haven’t stopped raving about the experience. It’s a place where cultures connect, ideas spark, and friendships are born.

Since opening in April, the Pavilion has been a buzzing hub of energy and creativity, hosting everything from Emirati art shows and food tastings to inspiring talks, dance shows, workshops, and cultural showcases that bring people together from every walk of life.

With Expo 2025 running until 13 October, there’s still plenty of time to explore, discover, and be inspired.

The UAE Pavilion welcomes everyone to step in, dream big, and imagine what we can build; together.
