The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority has updated its procedures in relation to members of the public who come in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19.
The update requires the individual to undergo a PCR test on first and seventh day or when the contact starts showing symptoms of the virus.
No quarantine is required should you test negative on both days.

The measure sees a relaxing of closed contact procedures which saw members of the public required to take five PCR tests in five consecutive days following notification.
Should you test positive then you will be instructed to carry out another PCR test. If you have severe symptoms, are over 50, pregnant or suffer from a chronic disease, you will be instructed to go to a Prime Assessment Centre for a medical check.
If you do not fall into any of the aforementioned categories, you can undergo a PCR test at any health centre in the emirate and isolate. If the follow-up test is positive, you will then need to isolate for 10 days.
