Abu Dhabi Green List update: Austria added, still no UK

Quarantine no longer needed for 33 countries.

Austria is the latest country to be added to the Abu Dhabi Green List, which goes into effect from today, 21 August.

This follows Monday’s Green List update when the United States and Maldives were removed from the Green List and Ireland, Sweden and Malta were added.

This brings the total number of countries now on the Abu Dhabi Green List to 33, with travellers from those countries no longer needing to quarantine on arrival to the UAE capital.

Vaccinated and non-vaccinated people arriving at Abu Dhabi Airport from countries that are not on the Abu Dhabi Green List will still need to quarantine.

The length of quarantine was recently shortened to 10 days from 12 days, for both residents of Abu Dhabi and tourists.

You will no longer need to quarantine if you arrive from these countries

Abu Dhabi Green List Update: Austria Added, Still No Uk

From Friday 20 August, new rules went into force for those crossing the Abu Dhabi within the UAE.

Only those who have the Green Pass and an active E or star icon on Al Hosn app are now allowed to enter Abu Dhabi

No further testing is required for those remaining in Abu Dhabi Emirate.

However, for those not remaining in the emirate, a PCR test is required to show the E/star icon, which remains active for seven days.

Visitors from abroad should also follow the relevant travel protocol.

The current testing procedures for those unvaccinated to enter the emirate remains the same.

This requires a PCR test within 48 hours of entry or a DPI test within 24 hours, as well as multiple additional tests if remaining in the emirate.

Earlier on Thursday, 19 August, Abu Dhabi removed the stay-at-home restrictions, which had been in place since the EID break.
