Abu Dhabi introduces new bus services

New stops have been incorporated as well.

Getting around Abu Dhabi will become a lot easier after new bus services for the city and its suburbs were introduced.

The measures implemented by the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (ITC) sees an increase in service frequency and timing adjustments with the aim of ensuring optimal efficiency for the city’s bus users.

Bus services provided within the city have been rescheduled to fit the new working week and weekend with an additional 60 daily bus trips added to the timetable, increasing the number of trips from 4,695 to 4,755 per day.

The number of services provided on a Friday has also increased from 4,002 to 4,775 per day with the No. 8 bus route beginning at Zayed Port and finishing at Al Bateen, now incorporating Al Bateen Marina into the service.

Amendments have also been made to bus services in Musaffah to include the western port area as well as changing the bus service no. 103 so that there is a direct link between Mohammed bin Zayed City and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street.

There will also be an increase of services provided to the Baniyas and Al Shahama areas.

All bus timings and routes for Abu Dhabi can be accessed via the DARBI app or online at DARBI –Integrated Transport Centre.
