New regulations for entering the emirate are in place and quarantine time has been reduced.
This is the kind of festive news most of us have been waiting for.
Abu Dhabi has announced new regulations for entering the emirate. This includes reducing quarantine time on arrival.
Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee has approved a series of updated measures to preserve current health achievements and curb the spread of Covid-19, and following a thorough review of all activities. The Committee approved procedures for all international travellers, both residents and tourists, including exempting travellers from ‘green’ countries from quarantine and reducing the quarantine period for travellers from other countries to 10 days.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has also approved increasing the operational capacity of economic, tourism and entertainment activities in line with the approved precautionary measures.
From 24 December, international travelers will also be welcomed back to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

However, international travellers are required to present a negative PCR test result received within 96 hours of their scheduled departure and take a second PCR test upon entering the emirate.

According to Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, all citizens and residents must take a PCR or DPI test and receive a negative result within 72 hours of entering Abu Dhabi.
A PCR test must also be taken on day six from entry, when staying six or more consecutive days.
