It’s not long now until the Holy Month is upon us and the Emirate’s Red Crescent already has plans.

Abu Dhabi Is Gearing Up For Ramadan With Many Blessings On The Way

We are getting ready for Ramadan, a time when we count our blessings and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

And at the forefront of helping others is the Emirates Red Crescent , whose Ramadan programmes are said to benefit 1,771,321 people, including 1.2 million in the UAE and 571,312 abroad.

In a tweet, Emirates Red Crescent said: “Under the directives of H.H  Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the authority is expanding the scope of its Ramadan initiatives this year to limit the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Around 1 million and 771 thousands and 312 people will benefit from these initiatives.”

ARN News online portal reported that “On the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, the ERC announced at a news conference that it has increased the scope this year, to counter the health, economic and social repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
