Abu Dhabi school holidays announced for the Eid Al-Fitr break

Schools return to the classroom on Monday 9 May.

Abu Dhabi students can look forward to a nine-day break for the Eid Al-Fitr break after the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) announced Private and Charter Schools will be closed from Monday 2 to Friday 6 May.

Students will return to the classroom the following week on Monday 9 May provided they are free of COVID-19 symptoms and maintain their green pass on their Al Hosn app in accordance to their age category.

ADEK has followed the Federal Government who declared that all public sector employees will enjoy a nine-day break for the Eid holidays.

Public sector workers will have to wait until the sighting of the new crescent moon to find out how many holidays they can enjoy over the period.

Expected dates are 30 April to Wednesday 4 April.
