This iconic spot in Deira just got a fresh makeover

Deira Dubai Clocktower

The construction is finally complete, and it’s just as good as we imagined

The Clocktower Roundabout in Deira has always been iconic, a significant landmark for anyone travelling in the UAE.

And now, Dubai Municipality has officially completed its work on the revamp.

According to the announcement, the upgrade will feature hard floors interspersed with greenery, multi-coloured lights and an improved water fountain design.

The project included the renovation of floors and the implementation of a new design for the water fountain that facilitates flexibility in controlling water levels and using multicoloured lighting.

The structural framework of the roundabout was also repainted, featuring unique elements such as precast concrete pebbled wash and three-dimensional design.

The project was undertaken in line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.

Built in 1965, the clocktower was located in Deira because at the time it was the point where major routes into the city converged, prior to the building of the Dubai – Abu Dhabi Road.

The UK’s Daily Telegraph newspaper has also listed the Clock Tower as among the 17 most beautiful clock towers around the world.

We can’t wait to see how beautiful things turn out.
