Well-known coffee brand Nespresso is making a difference to the planet with this fantastic take on sustainable cycling.
Earth Hour will be soon upon us and the UAE is gearing up in different ways to show solidarity, and not only by switching off lights.
And all of us must play our part!
In fact, hotels and organisations in Abu Dhabi have already launched their own campaigns to encourage the community to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Also, well-known coffee brand Nespresso is doing just that and has partnered with Swedish brand Vélosophy to upcycle used coffee capsules into stylish and sustainable bicycles, titled ‘RE: CYCLE’.
So, fans of the coffee brand can now recycle the aluminum capsules that the coffee comes in after using them.
The capsules will be melted and repurposed into creating a range of sleek and stylish environmentally friendly purple bikes!
So now your caffeine rush will be coupled with adrenaline courtesy of this sustainable two-wheeler.
You’ll be able to get your hands on one of these sustainable two-wheelers from 12 August, which is when 1,000 RE: CYCLE bicycles will be available to buy on the Vélosophy website.
The RE: CYCLEs will even have a capsule-shaped bell and cup holder basket for cyclists to take their drink on their journeys!
For every RE:CYCLE bike that is produced, another bike will be donated to a girl through the World Bicycle Relief initiative.
