Delariva Abu Dhabi: Legendary Brazilian jiu-jitsu school to open in the capital

Dates and location are yet to be confirmed.

If you are a jiu-jitsu enthusiast in Abu Dhabi, it’s fair to say you have had a lot to shout about in recent times.

The capital has been the scene for a number of world championship jiu-jitsu events including the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships and Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championship.

The UAE team even had a superb World Games in Alabama, USA where they came home with five medals; two golds; one silver; and one bronze.

And the good times continue to roll with the announcement that the world-famous school of De La Riva Jiu-Jistu will be coming to Abu Dhabi.

Named after jiu-jitsu master Richardo De La Riva, the school teaches young athletes the fine arts of the sport as well as the legendary Delariva Guard.

Revealed over Instagram, the cryptic message told followers that the international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy was “coming soon”, making it the first Delariva Jiu-Jitsu school in the region and the third in the continent of Asia after Singapore and Japan.

While no other information was disclosed on the whereabouts of the school, make sure to follow Yalla UAE for the latest updates.
