Authorities are using these autonomous electric vehicles to keep the city tidy and enhance the experience of both residents and tourists alike

We’ve all heard about the new driverless taxis that are being rolled out, but now Dubai Municipality is going one step further by piloting driverless vehicles to clean up the rubbish on cycling tracks around their beaches.

Driverless vehicles will soon be deployed to keep some popular areas of Dubai clean with the civic body today releasing a video that shows a self-driving truck sweeping the cycle tracks along Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim beaches.

The initiative is multi-fold as it also minimises environmental pollution and carbon emissions by using its automated fleet.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi continue to lead the way with innovative inventions and technological advancements and this latest development is just one example of the AI theme which is gripping the cities at present, catapulting the UAE into the future.
