This is the latest development in an effort to alleviate traffic congestion in the city

In a bid to tackle traffic congestion and enhance travel efficiency, Dubai has officially opened a 1.2-kilometre bridge as part of a major road expansion project worth AED 5.3 billion.

This new three-lane bridge is set to accommodate up to 5,000 vehicles per hour, significantly improving traffic flow across vital areas of the city.

The bridge links Infinity Bridge, spanning Dubai Creek, to Sheikh Rashid Road, beginning in Bur Dubai, as well as connecting with the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street intersection.

This infrastructure development is a key element of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project, a comprehensive 13-kilometre upgrade covering Sheikh Rashid Road, Al Mina Street, Al Khaleej Street, and Cairo Street.

The corridor serves not only Deira and Bur Dubai but also connects other key areas like Deira Islands, Dubai Seafront, Dubai Maritime City, and Port Rashid.
