Good news for motorists in town! Dubai Police is offering verification for water-damaged car repair
Rainy days are continuing in the UAE, but why should your car suffer?
Don’t worry about rain damage to your car anymore, Dubai Police has you covered! According to their latest announcement, motorists can now apply for a verification letter online if their vehicle breaks down due to adverse weather conditions.
Head to the Dubai Police website or app, and owners can request a ‘To Whom It May Concern’ e-certificate to present to their insurance provider in order to carry out any repairs from water damage.
On the website or app, first select Certificate services -> To whom it may concern -> Natural disasters service -> and obtain the e-certificate. It’s that simple.
With heavy rain, flooding, hail, thunder and lightning spread across the UAE in the early hours of Monday 12 February, it’s been a worrisome day for motorists both on the road as well as parked outdoors.

Schools and offices across the country offered flexible working and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, declared Monday to be a remote working day for employees of all Dubai government entities, with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation issuing a similar advisory for the private sector.
Currently, the weather advisory continues into the early hours of Tuesday, 13 February as well. As per reports, schools across the UAE have been advised to remain home and continue remote learning as well. It remains to be seen if offices will be asked to continue flexible working as well.
