Etihad Airways passengers met by Batman, Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety

There was even a bigger surprise in store too!

Not many people are at their best when disembarking after a long flight as they wait for their luggage at the carousel.

But when your favourite Warner Bros. characters are waiting for you in person then it’s bound to put a big smile on your face.

Well, that’s what happened recently at Abu Dhabi Airport when Bugs Bunny, Batman and the Looney Tunes gang met Etihad passengers as they waited to pick up their luggage.

Among the luggage on the carousel were tell-tale clues that this was no ordinary luggage collection point. Mixed into passenger luggage were baskets of carrots Batman’s suitcase, and quirky resort baggage revolving along the conveyer belt.

And before unsuspecting passengers knew it, Etihad’s Cabin Crew appeared alongside none other than Batman, Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, entertaining the crowd at the airport with nothing but happy faces as they the characters unfurled  them a banner saying: “Welcome to Abu Dhabi. Home to Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi”.
