There are now 28 weekly flights to two cities.
Last week’s news was phenomenal for travellers to the UK, as the UK government placed the UAE on the travel amber list after being on the travel red list since January 2021.
The move has prompted Etihad Airways to resume passenger flights to two of the UK’s major cities London and Manchester from 8 August.
Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, will fly to the UK 28 times a week, with three flights daily to London and a daily flight to Manchester in the north of England. Flight services between Abu Dhabi and the UK will be operated using state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Those travelling to the UK from the UAE who are unvaccinated will be required to have a negative PCR test 72 hours before departure and to undergo 10 days home quarantine in the UK, as well as follow up Covid-19 tests on day two and day eight.
Fully vaccinated travellers who have been vaccinated in the UK, US or Europe are exempt from quarantine and the day eighth test.
With the ever-changing landscape in terms of the pandemic, Etihad Airways urges travellers to be informed of the appropriate entry regulations at their end destination and to regularly log on to etihad.com to view their options.
Flights can be booked via the Etihad mobile app or by calling Etihad Airways Contact Centre on 600 555 666 (UAE only)
