The entire project is worth AED 55 million, and will have three floors including a prayer hall set underwater that can accommodate about 50-75 worshippers at one time.
The mosque is being constructed as part of a religious tourism drive revealed by the emirate’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).

On the other floors, one can find a multi-purpose hall and an Islamic exhibition.
While Dubai has always been the hottest tourist attraction in the country thanks to its many record-breaking buildings and activities, this initiative comes as part of efforts to strengthen Dubai’s position as an attractive destination for religious tourism, catering to both Muslims and non-Muslims.
As part of its religious tourism drive, the IACAD also plans to launch Ramadan and Eid markets near mosques, in addition to a Quranic exhibition.
