Here’s all you need to know about beating the heat with free ice cream cones at these select Dubai metro stations
Travelling to work has never really been fun with all the traffic and crowds, and the added heat definitely isn’t helping. If the walks to and from your closest Dubai Metro stations have started to hurt, there’s some free ice cream in store to sweeten the deal!
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free ice-creams for passengers at a few metro stations as a summer treat.
Taking place only from Wednesday 10 July to Thursday 11 July — hurry and grab your Balou Balou chocolate cone. Or a butterscotch King Cone, or even a cookies and cream cone.
On Wednesday 10 July, head to Mashreq and Ibn Battuta Metro stations from 11am-1pm.

On Thursday 11 July, head to Equiti and ONPASSIVE Metro Stations from 11am-1pm and walk away with a free treat to beat the heat.

Having recently offered free coffee to energise commuters, Dubai Metro stations are going the extra mile to ensure a hassle-free commute. Aside from the recently launched co-working space, there’s also a major expansion on the horizon to boost connectivity across the emirate.
The Dubai Metro extended Red Line has been working for some time now, with a new Blue Line also coming up.
