The numbers are in – and the humble French fries has conquered all in 2021, beating off competition such as chicken sandwiches, burgers, potato wedges and even pizza.
According to UAEtalabat, French fries was also the most popular food item ordered on New Year’s Eve in 2020, proving that people do enjoy their last cheat meal of the year before starting their New Year’s health resolution.
And for 2022’s most popular food item? That’s anybody’s guess.
