The requirements for entering Abu Dhabi have changed, with new regulations effective from today, Sunday, 17 January, according to The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee.

The new rules, which have been set in place to help Abu Dhabi in its efforts and measures to help stem the spread of COVID-19, include:
• A negative PCR or DPI test from the previous 48 hours must be presented to enter Abu Dhabi. Previously, it was 72 hours.
• Those staying in Abu Dhabi for four or more consecutive days will require a PCR test on day four of entry.
• Those staying in Abu Dhabi for eight or more consecutive days will require a PCR test on day eight of entry, as well as on day four.
• The day you arrive in Abu Dhabi is deemed as day one.
Fines are in place for those who fail to follow the rules. People who have been vaccinated are exempt, as long as the ‘E’ is shown on the Al Hosn app.
The UAE is already leading the world in its vaccination programme and is ranked in the top three carrying out such programmes.
