A thirty-day vehicle impounding for mobile phone use and distracted driving
New rules have been released in Dubai which will see your car being impounded for thirty days if you are caught using your phone while driving.
Dubai Police has introduced new vehicle impounding rules, enforcing stricter penalties for traffic violations in a bid to reduce accidents and promote safer driving.
These rules target distracted driving, sudden deviations, and other dangerous driving behaviors on the road.
Perhaps the most eye-catching change is a 30-day impounding for drivers caught using mobile phones or other devices while driving, as this poses a major risk to road safety. This measure reflects the city’s commitment to minimising distracted driving incidents.
