No appointment required in Abu Dhabi for booster, vaccination jabs

You can walk into any SEHA vaccination centres.

You can now receive your booster, vaccination jabs in Abu Dhabi without making an appointment at all SEHA facilities across Abu Dhabi Dubai without an appointment.

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi is providing Covid-19 vaccines for children, senior citizens and residents, and the required booster dose, without prior booking.

 

 

Sinopharm is available for those aged three and above and Pfizer BioNTech for those aged 12 and above. 

According to the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters, as part of the new entry updates Abu Dhabi wide and to maintain the vaccinated status on Al Hosn app, a booster dose must be taken six months after receiving the second vaccine dose pertaining to the medical protocol for each vaccine.

From 20 August, everybody will need to have a Green Pass showing on their Al Hosn app in order to gain entry to many places in Abu Dhabi, including malls, restaurants, gyms and so on. 

The list of venues that will be affected include shopping centres and malls, restaurants, cafes, all other retail outlets, including those not within a shopping centre, gyms, recreational facilities and sporting activities, health clubs, resorts, museums, cultural centres and theme parks.

The list also includes universities, institutes, public and private schools and children’s nurseries in the emirate.

Those unvaccinated or with grey status showing on Al Hosn app will not be allowed entry.

Today, 19 August, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced the National Sterilisation Programme has achieved its objectives and will conclude today.

In a tweet, the Committee thanks the public for its cooperation and advises all community members to continue to adhere to precautionary measures to protect public health and safety.

The National Sterilisation Programme was originally rolled out Monday 19 July, in efforts to protect public health and prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Sterilisation took place daily between midnight and 5am, during which times, the movement of traffic and the public were restricted and transportation services during that time was halted.
