PASS Abu Dhabi and Charlton Athletic announce collaboration

Trials will be held in September.

PASS Abu Dhabi has teamed up with Charlton Athletic to give youngsters in the capital a top chance at becoming a professional footballer.

The agreement between one of the UAE’s premier football coaching providers in the country and one of England’s oldest football clubs will offer talented players a more streamlined pathway to a pro career in Europe and beyond.

Founder and director of PASS Abu Dhabi, Seth Amoafo, said the collaboration between itself and the East London club’s academy in Dubai, which is spearheaded by ex-Wales international John Robinson, is an exciting development for football in the country.

He said: “We are extremely excited to create this partnership with a recognised football club in England.

“What this link with Charlton FC will do is allow us to identify a young player, either on our books or anyone at all in Abu Dhabi with talent and more importantly the right attitude and recommend him or her to the club.”

So you think you’ve got the skills?

There are plans to hold free open sessions in September, holiday camps in October and a talent ID programme starting in November.
