PCR tests scrapped: You don’t need to test on arrival Abu Dhabi International Airport

It is the latest measure that has been eased in relation to travellers coming to the capital.

Undergoing a PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport is no longer mandatory it has been revealed.

The news announced on the Etihad Airways website says that testing on arrival is not required.

However, should you wish to undergo a PCR test at the airport, you can take a test after baggage collection in Abu Dhabi International Airport for the cost AED 40.

It is the latest in reduced cautionary COVID-19 measures that have been introduced for travellers coming into the country after the scrapping of the green list resulting in the removal of mandatory the day six test for vaccinated travellers and the pre-departure test before coming to Abu Dhabi.

Unvaccinated travellers will need to present a negative PCR test result not exceeding 48 hours upon arrival at check-in at their departure airport.

They can also submit a health certificate that possesses a QR code that details they recovered within a month of the travel date.

The price for PCR tests has also decreased from AED 50 to AED 40.
