It’s hard to ignore the effects of climate change with the UAE facing everything from rains to sandstorms in the last week.
The unusual weather is far from over though, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) now issuing yellow and orange alerts.

Rain and dust storms continue to hit parts of the UAE, especially in Dubai. Furthermore, moderate to heavy rainfall has been reported in parts of Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain.

With videos of lamp posts and date palms falling trending online, the NCM has urged people to stay away from wadis and areas prone to flash floods.
