Heavy showers hit Abu Dhabi with more expected

Police urge motorists to take care.

Residents in some parts of the capital woke up to the welcome sight of puddles and wet streets after heavy showers fell in the night.

This morning (10 November) heavy, grey skies hung over most of the capital with more showers expected.

Abu Dhabi Police have asked motorists to take care on their way into work and to obey speed limits that may have been reduced due to the road conditions.

Police warned drivers to take care on the roads and pay attention to speed limits, which are reduced during bad weather.

More unsettled weather has been forecast, according to the National Centre of Meteorology issued a rain alert and said there could be further unsettled weather ahead.
