The world’s most expensive cup of coffee was just sold in Dubai

Guinness world record

And yes, it’s as extravagant as it sounds

Coffee lovers, hold on to your mugs because Dubai’s caffeine scene has just levelled up.

Homegrown specialty coffee brand Roasters has snagged a Guinness World Record for serving the Most Expensive Coffee Cup in the World, priced at a jaw-dropping AED 2,500.

The record-breaking moment unfolded at their flagship café on The Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, on 13 September, complete with media, coffee aficionados, and official record adjudicators witnessing the pour.

What’s in a AED 2,500 Cup?

Well, let us tell you one thing: this is not regular cup of Joe. Here’s what’s in it:

    • Made with ultra-rare Panama Esmeralda Geisha beans, famed for their floral aromatics and tropical fruit notes
    • Brewed table-side via precision hand-poured V60 by a dedicated barista
    • Served in a handmade Edo Kiriko crystal glass from Japan, a heritage masterpiece in itself
    • Paired with decadent Geisha-infused treats: tiramisu, chocolate ice cream, and a custom chocolate piece

Basically… it’s coffee couture.

“Every cup tells a story,” says Konstantin Harbuz, Co-founder & CEO of Roasters. “And this one definitely does, telling the tale of artistry, precision, and Dubai’s bold taste for luxury.”

Roasters, now with 11 premium branches across the UAE, has been redefining what coffee can be, and this record proves it’s playing in a whole new league.

So, the big question is: would you try it?
