New traffic signs and road markings are already reflecting these changes in the city
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced changes to speed limits on two major roads, effective 30 September.
In coordination with Dubai Police, the adjustments will affect Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street and Al Amardi Street.
Motorists cruising along Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street will now be able to drive at a maximum of 100 km/h between Dubai-Al Ain Road and the Academic City Roundabout.
However, the speed limit will drop slightly to 90 km/h between the Academic City Roundabout and Al Khawaneej Street.
Meanwhile, Al Amardi Street will see a uniform speed limit of 90 km/h between Al Khawaneej Street and Emirates Road.
