EDE scanners were also introduced on Abu Dhabi’s borders.

A COVID-19 PCR test must be undertaken every seven days if you are a Government employee it has been announced.

The new measure announced by the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee will come into effective on Sunday (26 December).

There has been no indication whether the new update will eventually apply to public sector workers.

The news is the latest in a line of recently introduced measures by the Abu Dhabi authorities.

The use of EDE scanners at all points of entry into the emirate came into effect on Sunday 19 December with the need for members of the public to take a PCR test every 14 days in order to maintain a green pass on their Al Hosn app.
