The DCT Abu Dhabi has confirmed the former basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal as the face of their calendar’s digital campaign.

Delivering their latest revelation is The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). The body just confirmed American basketball legend, Shaquille O’Neal, as the globally recognised face of a ‘Breaking News’ style digital campaign for Abu Dhabi’s events calendar.
With 180 days of global and regional first events planned across sports, entertainment, and culture, the capital’s calendar is exciting, to say the least. And repping the same on a global platform now is former ace BB player Shaq.
It was at Abu Dhabi Calendar’s winter season launch event that Shaq made a surprise on-screen appearance in front of a live audience. The calendar’s new face debuted his comedic talent in a series of short studio sketches scheduled to be aired over the next five months.
The appearance came ahead of his much anticipated October visit to the emirate for the pre-season NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022. While the event itself is a first-of-its-kind sporting spectacle for the UAE’s capital, his presence is sure to draw in larger crowds.
Upcoming highlights from the Abu Dhabi Calendar include everything from exhilarating sporting action, immersive cultural festivals, live interactive family shows, and crowd-pleasing concerts – all taking place over the next 180 days.
