Sharjah approves new rules for social gatherings

Social distance must be four metres.

Are you going to Sharjah for a party?

Well you better have a green pass on your Al Hosn app as the authorities have updated the rules on social gathering in the emirate.

The Sharjah Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management team has approved new rules that will allow up to 50 people to attend gatherings at home, up to 100 people at a majlis hall and up to 200 for a wedding ceremony.

Anyone attending must wear a facemask, maintain a social distance of four metres and must be fully vaccinated showing a green pass on their Al Hosn app.

Authorities also said tables should be at 50 per cent capacity and the event should not exceed four hours.

The news is the latest update in the UAE’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic with Abu Dhabi removing its requirement for a negative PCR test to enter the emirate.
