The Sharjah Police announced a cancellation of all firework displays in solidarity with Gaza
Christmas week is in full swing and if you haven’t already, order a turkey takeaway and get into the spirit of the festivities with your family.
With a long weekend coming up to mark the new year, the revelry across UAE is far from over. However, in a display of solidarity with the ongoing situation in Gaza, Sharjah Police have announced a ban on fireworks displays and celebrations on New Year’s Eve.

The authority has urged all organisations and members of the public to comply with the directive.
Furthermore, legal action will be taken against those who violate the rules. So it’s going to be quite a sober New Year’s Eve in Sharjah this year.
However, if you’re looking for a nice night out in the UAE capital and beyond, here are some great places to check out for New Year’s Eve dinners.
